Agricultural summary 10-29

Harvest was once again slowed as scattered showers and strong winds made their way across the state this past week allowing only 3.7 days suitable for fieldwork. Statewide rainfall totals averaged 0.94 inches, 0.37 inches above average. Temperatures averaged 55.5 degrees, 3.4 degrees above average. Topsoil moisture is now rated as 4 percent very short, 16 percent short, 73 percent adequate, and 7 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture was reported as 18 percent very short, 39 percent short, 41 percent adequate and 2 percent surplus.
