Dennis Stout

HENNEPIN — Dennis M. Stout, 64, of Hennepin passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.

Dennis was born Aug. 12, 1948, in Spring Valley to Harrison and Ellen (McFarlin) Stout. He married Pam Miller on July 5, 1989, in Princeton.

He graduated from Henry High School in 1966 and attended Illinois Valley Community College. He was a material expediter of operations at LTV Steel Mill in Hennepin from 1967 to 2009.

He was an avid golfer and duck hunter.

Survivors are his wife, Pam of Hennepin; two daughters, Patrice (Dennis) Stadler of Madison, Wis., and Sonya (Jeff) Baran of Normal; two brothers, Gary Stout of Lebanon, Tenn., and Dave (Denise) Stout of Henry; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Ashley, Hannah, Shelby, Tanner, Lucas and Savoy; one great-grandson, Jude; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his in-laws, Jim and Eleanor Miller of Princeton. He will also be missed by his beloved cat (Miss Kitty).

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sue Carr.

A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville, with Pastor Jack Stites and Pastor Carol Stufflebeam officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.

Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church of Bureau, Hennepin United Methodist Church or Friends of Strays.
