PRINCETON — Lowell Rodger Kearns, 89, of Princeton went to his heavenly home Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. He had been a resident at Colonial Hall Care Center in Princeton for over two years.

He was born Aug. 5, 1923, near New Bedford to Matthew and Myrtle (Hall) Kearns. He married Donna Jean Einsele on March 18, 1950, in LaMoille. He attended Malden schools.

After farming with his dad during his early years, he worked for Pioneer Seed Corn Co. He then retired from LCN after working there for 18 years. After retiring he collected antique gas engines. He enjoyed restoring them and taking them to engine shows. He demonstrated how they worked and what they were used for. He loved gardening and sharing the produce with family and friends.
