Bidding for silent tree auction begins Saturday
PRINCETON — Freedom House, a domestic violence and sexual assault agency, will once again hold its silent auction for decorated Christmas trees.
Raylene Ferrari, Upscale Resale shop manager, explains that the silent tree auction has been a holiday tradition for Freedom House going back five years. “These trees are always so beautiful and all of the proceeds are used to directly benefit victims of abuse,” she said.
Freedom House has served Bureau, Marshall, Putnam, Henry and Stark counties for nearly 30 years. The agency provides confidential and free services such as adult and child counseling, legal advocacy, on-call hospital support and emergency shelter to an average of 600 people each year.
