Nancy Nagel
TISKILWA — Nancy J. Nagel, 72, of Tiskilwa passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Jan. 24,1940, to Maurice and Gertrude (Korter) Moran. She was a life-long student of Belrose Dance Studio. She graduated from Iowa Cosmetology School. Nancy modeled for and managed The Chicago Health Clubs for many years. She rode motorcycles. She managed Ye Olde Village Inne in Tonica and ushered in the roaring 20's decor and live shows. She owned and operated The Hen's Tooth Art Gallery in Peru for years. She taught art classes at Illinois Valley Community College. She taught art classes for Oglesby Park and Recreation and loved working with kids. She was a world traveler. She was a master gardener. She was a cat lover. She loved music and reading. She also owned and enjoyed riding horses. Her smile and laughter lit up the room!
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Gonzalez of Oglesby and Jill Muzzarelli of Princeton; two sons, Jon (Amanda) Muzzarelli of New York and Cris-Michael (Spring) Muzzarelli of Peru; numerous grandchildren; two brothers, Gordon (Ellie) Moran of York, Maine, and Korter "Butch" (Janey) Moran of Oglesby; and nieces and nephews.
