Auxiliary conducts Veterans Day workshop
PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton held its monthly veterans workshop on Nov. 7 at the post home.
Seven ladies were present to help fill the treat sacks with fresh fruit, cookies, candies, sliced quick bread, snack crackers, popcorn and special diet treats. A special-made greeting card by Kristi Johnson was enclosed in the sacks for Veterans Day. Kristi is the granddaughter of Clara Pease.
Thirty-six local veterans in the local nursing homes were treated along with two home-bound veterans as well. According to VA&R chairperson Clara Pease, “The monthly workshops for the Auxiliary is a means of saying ‘thank you’ to our veterans for all they have done in the past.”
