Auxiliary fill boxes for overseas soldiers

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 in Princeton filled two boxes for the names of soldiers the Unit received to send overseas for Christmas.

Each box was filled with Christmas cards, socks, quick meal foods, candies, hand warmers, coffee, peanut butter cups, macaroni and cheese, and some personal care items.

This yearly workshop is worked by the Unit under the VA&R program of the American Legion Auxiliary. Monetary donations are always welcome to help offset the cost of shipping and items used to fill the boxes. Donations can be sent to Clara Pease, 321 Briar Lane, Princeton, IL 61356; or to American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton, IL 61356, Attn: Veterans Workshop.
