District 26 winner is announced

PRINCETON — Connie Stetson of Macon Township has won the write-in candidacy for District 26 of the Bureau County Board.

Stetson received 87 votes in Tuesday’s write-in campaign, compared to a write-in candidacy of Wesley L. Barron of Sheffield, who received 13 votes. No political party affiliation is given for write-in candidates.

Stetson and the other 25 members of the Bureau County Board will be sworn into office at a Dec. 3 special board meeting of the county board.

Stetson joins Derek Whited of Princeton and Tom Ptasnik of Walnut as new board members. The remaining members of the county board elected on Tuesday are incumbents to the board.
