Sally Kitterman
GALVA — Sally A. Kitterman, 75, of Galva passed away at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at the Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Princeton, the daughter of Richard and Bertha (Barkley) Nye. She married Phillip E. "Phil" Kitterman on Dec. 10, 1953, in Tiskilwa. He survives, as do four sons, Alan (Susan Peterson) Kitterman of LaMoille, Kevin (Jolynn) Kitterman of Colona, Tim Kitterman and his special friend, Pam Loomis, of Victoria, and Robert Patrick Kitterman and his special friend, Angie King, of Wyoming, Ill.; one sister, Dixie (Wayne) Baldwin of Tiskilwa; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Patricia Plotner.
Sally worked as a secretary for Stark County Circuit Court and was deputy circuit clerk from 1968 to 1979. She had also worked at Mowers Soil Testing Lab in Toulon and the Dairy Barn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was very active in church hospitality. In her early years she was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, and had a love for animals, especially her kittens.
