Monday Night Sports Update

PRINCETON - The Princeton Tigresses opened their title defense of the Princeton Holiday Tournament with a 48-33 win over LaMoille/Ohio in the nightcap of Monday's opening night at Prouty Gym.

The Tigresses used a 30-19 second half advantage to pull away to victory.

"I knew Dick's girls would give us a good battle. Both teams played well and hard for the first game of the season," PHS coach Kevin Hieronymus said.

Makenzey Wilson led the Tigresses with 11 points and Zoe Mead added nine points and 17 rebounds. Emmalee Sears had nine points and Abby Jaques added eight for PHS.

The Lady Lions got 11 points each from Elizabeth Geuther and Shiela Browning.

PHS returns to action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Erie, which was a 45-20 winner over Henry-Senachwine. The Lady Lions take the court at 5 p.m. Tuesday  against Henry.
