Missouri man pleads guilty to auto theft

PRINCETON — A Missouri man has been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty in Bureau County Court to the Class 2 felony of auto theft.

Wendell M. Bankers, 22, of St. Louis, Mo., entered his guilty plea on Nov. 8 before Associate Circuit Judge C.J. Hollerich. Bankers was sentenced to four years in prison and ordered to pay court costs and possible restitution.

Bankers was represented in court by Bureau County Public Defender Michael Henneberry. Prosecuting the case was Bureau County State’s Attorney Patrick Herrmann.
