Wild kingdom in Bureau County?

William J. Anderson holds a 106-inch-long Red Tailed Diamondback Boa Constrictor by the tail after he ran over it with his tractor in his dad’s, William L. Johnson’s cornfield, 2 1/2 miles west of Ohio on 1800 N Avenue. The snake is 12 1/2-inches around. Neither Johnson knows where the snake came from. “It is possible that it was a pet that got loose, or it just got too big to handle and someone let it loose in the wild,” said William L. Johnson. The Johnsons were told by a collector, who identified the snake, that he only lets his boa constrictors get to 4-feet long before he turns them over to a zoo. He said anything over 4-feet long gets dangerous, especially around pets and children.
