Tiskilwa Village Board
• Mayor Randy Philhower said he will contact Progressive Energy Group, which has offices in Aurora and Yorkville, to solicit bids from energy companies, after village residents approved an electric aggregation issue on the Nov. 6 ballot.
This company will seek bids from energy companies and present this information at two public hearings that must be held prior to any program being implemented for village residential and commercial electric users.
Electric users can either accept the bid village board members choose to provide electricity to the village users; opt out of this choice to get their own company; or stay with the current electric provider (Ameren), Philhower said.
