Friday Night Sports Update

Stark County and Erie will meet for Saturday's championship of the Princeton Holiday Girls Basketball Tournament, both winners on the Prouty Gym hardwood Friday.

Stark defeated Putnam County 58-38 to clinch the White Pool and Erie downed LaMoille/Ohio 65-33 to win the Blue Pool. The championship game will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Putnam County will come back to play Princeton for third-place at 6 p.m. Other finals games pit L/O vs. Bureau Valley at 3 p.m. and Midland vs. Henry at 4:30 p.m.

In other action Friday, Midland beat Bureau Valley 51-23.

At Oregon: Mendota beat Hall 62-37.
