BVHS Spanish Club sees ‘Evita’
On Nov. 9, about 30 members of the Bureau Valley High School Spanish Club went to the Peoria Public Library to watch the movie “Evita,” a Spanish musical (in English) starring Antonio Banderas and Madonna. The students ate a Mexican lunch at Fiesta Ranchera and after lunch, went to the “Panadería Ortiz,” a bakery, to get sweet treats. They experienced everything from Mexican pop and pastries to candy and cakes.
