OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College graphic design students recently received awards in a national engineering poster contest that included 244 entries. In the “Women in STEM” category, Teresa Gleason of Bureau took third place, Joe Stohr of Troy Grove and Michelle Anderson of LaSalle received honorable mention and Helen Krieger of Streator was a finalist.

In the “Grand Challenges in Engineering” category, Gleason, again, placed third while honorable mention went to Anderson.

Each third-place winner received a $50 award. All students who placed will receive royalties.
