Lions Club is collecting glasses and hearing aids

PRINCETON — The Princeton Lions Club collects used eyeglasses and hearing aids throughout the year. Every year, thousands of used eyeglasses are sorted and shipped by the Lions throughout the world for reuse by the needy.

Used hearing aids, working or not, are refurbished and fitted to Illinois residents unable to afford new hearing aids. Like the eyeglasses, hearing aids must be specifically prescribed for individual needs.

Collection boxes for used eyeglasses and hearing aids can be found in the following locations: Bureau County Senior Center, Heartland Bank, Prouty Community Building, Lifetime Eye Care Center, Bureau Valley Vision Care, Sullivan’s Foods, Illinois Driver’s License Examining Station, Cannon Cleaners, Princeton Elks Lodge, Princeton Public Library, First United Methodist Church, Evangelical Covenant Church and the Tiskilwa Post Office.
