It is now November. You know what that means? Thanksgiving is here. It’s a month for you to stuff your face into delicious food and spend time with family. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the things we’re grateful for. Many people are grateful to have their families, thankful for living, or for the things they love the most.

I myself am grateful for this holiday as I am glad to be living in a town with my family. I’m thankful for living in the United States, for this is the place to live the American dream. I’m thankful for the people I hold dear most in my live and who support me. During Thanksgiving, my family and I would celebrate Thanksgiving with all my family in one house. Having delicious food, that’s my favorite part during Thanksgiving. I have ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, and my favorite, cherry pie. When we finish eating, we always plays games on our cousin’s Nintendo Wii like Mario Party or Just Dance. Lastly, we all get around the table and spend time with each other as a family would on Thanksgiving.

I went around and asked my teachers what they think Thanksgiving is to them. This is one by my former teacher, Miss Ward. She states “To me, Thanksgiving is, of course, a day to be thankful for my family, my boyfriend, my friends, my pets, my job, my students, my co-workers, my home, and for all the other things that God has blessed me with. I also feel thankful for God for everything that He has helped me get thought my live.

“On Thanksgiving day, I love spending time with family members that I don’t always have the opportunity to see very often. I am also fortunate enough to get to spend some of the day with my wonderful boyfriend and his family, which makes me feel extra blessed. To be around so many people that care about you and love you, who you cherish in return, is definitely sometimes to thankful for. In this life, family is most precious gift we are given.
