Thankful for Thanksgiving

Jay Conner, a second-grade student at Ohio Grade School, takes a relaxed pose for the annual Thanksgiving feast at the school. This year, all 12 grades and their teachers shared a meal at in the auditorium, which had been decorated in the Thanksgiving theme. In keeping with the theme, the younger students wore their Indian and Colonial hats. As a new twist this year, each grade school student was paired with his/her “reading buddy” for the meal. Superintendent Sharon Sweger said the Reading Buddies program was implemented this year and matches a high school student with a grade school student for a monthly reading time together.
