Hall High School investigates weapon incident involving student

SPRING VALLEY — The Hall High School administration on Wednesday investigated reports of a student in possession of a weapon while on school property.

According to Hall High School Superintendent Mike Struna, the student was searched and his car, which was parked on school property at that time, was also searched. No contraband was initially discovered. Upon further investigation, the student admitted to possession of a pellet gun and an inert hand grenade. The items were later found in his car, which was then parked off campus.

Struna said the student was questioned by Spring Valley Police and Hall High School took disciplinary action. At no time during this incident were students at Hall High School in any danger.
