Friday night sports update
At Sterling: Princeton lost to Newman 54-46 in the Sauk Valley Shootout Friday at Musgrove Fieldhouse. The Tigers (2-2) will close out Shootout play at 5 p.m. Saturday vs. Dixon.
In other Shootout action, Rock Falls beat Morrison 63-33 and Sterling beat Dixon 53-30 and the PHS sophs beat Newman.
At AFC: LaMoille/Ohio lost to tourney host AFC 71-51.
