TISKILWA — A Tiskilwa Country Christmas, sponsored by the Tiskilwa Community Association, will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 8 throughout downtown Tiskilwa.
The event includes a bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon at Community Church and Museum on Main will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a library open house from 9 a.m. to noon and an indoor concert at Crossroads School from 11 to 11:30 a.m. The local churches’ luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hall. Photos with Santa will be taken from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the TCA Building. Event-goers may also vote on decorated trees from 11:30 to 1:30 on Main Street, and see the live Nativity from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crossroads School. The Bureau County Chorus will perform from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Museum on Main followed by the announcement of the tree winners.
The library, the TCA Building and the museum will be collection points for goods for the food pantry.
