Eckberg named first golf coach for Cardinal Stritch University

MILWAUKEE — Walnut native Tim Eckberg has been hired as the first-ever head coach for the upcoming men’s and women’s golf programs for Cardinal Stritch University.

Eckberg comes to Stritch after having lived in Orlando, Fla. for the past six years, playing professional golf on a variety of mini-tours throughout the southeast, and tallying five professional victories.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to build this program at Stritch from the ground floor,” Eckberg added. “My focus and goal is to quickly develop the golf team to have the same tradition and success as the other sports here at the university.”
