Journey Stories programs continue at library
PRINCETON — Journey Stories at Princeton Public Library continues with two adult programs for the week.
On Tuesday, railroad historian Simon Cordery of Western Illinois University will survey the expansion of the railroad industry in the Land of Lincoln and how it fits into the pattern of national railroad development and the significance of railroads in 19th century politics. His talk is sponsored by Friends in Council.
On Dec. 6, the library will host “Salmagundi: a Feast of Celebrations,” a table-top program in which local residents will talk about their family roots in other cultures and how that cultural background is reflected in their holiday preparations and celebrations.
