PRINCETON — Robert E. Michel, 84, of Princeton passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

He was born July 30, 1928, in Chicago to Irwin and Marcella (Carlson) Michel. He married Miriam Hamailman Feb. 19, 1955, in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ingleside. She preceded him in death in 2006. He then married Mary Rempfer Horn April 7, 2008, in Princeton. She survives.

He graduated from Fox Lake High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He worked as a lithographer at Collin Miller Hutchins for numerous years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
