PERU — Tuesday was the official day of the 175th anniversary of the First Congregational Church of Peru. The church invites members of the community to attend its open house — the conclusion of its celebratory events in recognition of the 175th milestone from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The church, which is handicap accessible, is located at 1431 Fourth St. in Peru. The Rev. David Heidemann is currently serving as interim pastor.
