Agricultural summary for Nov. 26

Temperatures averaged 41.8 degrees last week, 2.3 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.12 inches, 0.58 inches below normal. The winter wheat condition is currently rated as 4 percent excellent, 65 percent good, 26 percent fair and 5 percent poor. Topsoil moisture was rated 4 percent surplus, 68 percent adequate, 23 percent short and 5 percent very short. Subsoil moisture was rated 2 percent surplus, 37 percent adequate, 42 percent short and 19 percent very short.

Activities for the week included nitrogen and lime applications, input purchases and cleaning and preparing equipment for storage. Fall harvest and tillage for the most part has been completed.
