Freedom House offers volunteer training classes

PRINCETON — Freedom House will offer volunteer training classes from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 5 through May 21, at the Black Hawk East Campus in Kewanee. Registration deadline is Jan. 11.

The cost is $150 for a 75-hour volunteer commitment to Freedom House. Classes meet the 40-hour domestic violence and 20-hour sexual assault certification necessary to work directly with survivors of DV/V. This certification can be used in any agency with this requirement. Classes are encouraged for those who work closely with the public (teachers, clergy, social workers, etc.)

For more information, call Freedom House at 815-872-0087.
