Live radio play

PRINCETON — Festival 56 will present the holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Lifeas a live radio play performed by local community members on Dec. 8 at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St., Princeton. This is a special event separate from the Festival 56 regular season. Doors open at 1 p.m. for pre-broadcast musical entertainment. The radio broadcast is at 2 p.m. sharp. For tickets, which are $18, call 815- 879-5656 or visit www.festival56.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Holiday bake sale

TISKILWA — A holiday bake sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the Tiskilwa Community Church. Free coffee and goodies will be available.

Coffeehouse event

PRINCETON — Minnesota folksinger/songwriter Peter Mayer will appear in concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Princeton Coffeehouse, located at the Open Prairie UCC in Princeton. Mayer’s ”guitar work is breath-taking, his lyrics mind-spinning, his singing soul-soothing”, according to WUMB Radio, Boston. Tickets are $12 at the door. Decorating party

TISKILWA — The Tiskilwa Historical Society Board of Directors is inviting Historical Society members to “Catch the Spirit” and join them at a decorating party at the Museum on Main at 10:30 a.m. Monday. When the decorating is complete, participants will share a Piccolo’s pizza and salad.

Pancake breakfast

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lions Club in LaMoille. Proceeds will go to LHS Operation Snowball. The Methodist women will also have a bake sale, and Santa will be attendance from 10 a.m. to noon.
