Extension offers ‘Legislative Update’

PRINCETON — The University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam Unit will offer a webinar for local election officials titled, “Legislative Update 2012, Key Legislative Issues Affecting Your Jurisdiction.”

Following the state’s 2012 Veto Session, local government legislative liaisons will discuss recent and potential changes in legislation at the state level that will have a direct impact on Illinois local governments. With a question and answer session following each presentation, participating officials will have the opportunity to discuss the intent and impact of legislation while developing a better understanding of mandated expectations.

The webinar will be Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. Any officials wishing to attend a group viewing can do so at their local Extension office in Henry, 509 Front St., Suite 4; Ottawa, 1689 N. 31st Road; or Princeton, 850 Thompson St. This webinar is offered through the University of Illinois Extension’s new program, “E-Institutes: Local Government Programming Anytime, Anywhere!”
