Kaiser-Kesseler Tournament

PRINCETON — The 38th Annual Kaiser-Kesseler Holiday Tournament will be held at Princeton Logan Junior High School on Monday and Tuesday. This tournament consists of four eighth-grade boy’s basketball teams.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday: Logan vs. Geneseo, 5 p.m., Amboy / Kewanee, 6 p.m.

Tuesday: Third Place Game, 5 p.m. Championship game, 6 p.m.

Caring for Kelly

SPRING VALLEY — The family and friends of Kelly Merkel will host a walleye and sauger tournament on the Illinois River. She has been diagnosed with spinal cord lymphoma and the tournament proceeds will help defray the medical costs the family will incur.

The tournament will take place at Barto Landing from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There isa six-fish limite with 14-inch minimum. entry fee is $100 per two-man boat before the tournament date and $115 the day of the tournament. Optional big fish pot is $50.

Checks made payable to Bruce and Kelly Merkel may be mailed to IWT, 701 N. 2050 Road, Tonica, Ill. 61370.
