Midland 51, Princeton 27: The Tigresses outscored the Timberwolves 16-12 in the fourth quarter Saturday, but it proved to be too little, too late. Senior forward Makenzey Wilson scored 10 points for the Tigresses, who were held to two points in the third quarter.

Henry 36, Bureau Valley 28: Cluskey scored 13 points to lead the Lady Mallards to victory Monday at Manlius. Lacey DeVenney hit three three-pointers to lead the Storm (1-8) with nine points. Susan Brummel added six points.

Paw Paw 66, LaMoille/Ohio 30: Morgan poured in 27 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs past the host Lady Lions Monday in Little Ten Conference play. Alissa Schrader paced L/O with 10 points with Shiela Browning netting six and Myrah Graham five.

Marquette 50, Hall 18: Jacquie Wallaert and Val Hoffert each scored five points for the Lay Devils in defeat Monday at Ottawa. Kendal Kaufman and Angela Evola each netted 13 points for the Lady Crusaders.

Junior high basketball

BVEC Tournament: BV South upset sister school BV North Saturday at Ohio. In other tournament, Bradford defeated Malden 34-12 and Neponset beat Ohio 27-20.

On Monday, top-seeded DePue defeated Bradford 29-10 behind Edgar Moreno (10 points) and David Moreno (7). Jared Cade had eight points for Bradford.

No. 2 Ladd beat LaMoille 28-13 led by Kieran Trevier and Kyle Follmer, who each scored 12 points. Caleb Sarff led LaMoile with five points.

Wednesday's semifinals will pit DePue vs. Ohio at 6 p.m. followed by Ladd vs. BV South.

Wrestling

At Seneca: St. Bede junior James Peacock captured the 132-pound championship in Saturday’s Seneca Irish Invitational, defeating Herscher’s Drew Mook 4-3 in the title match. In other matches, Peacock pinned Adam Duesing of Illiana Christian in 54 seconds and defeated Manteno’s Travon Done 11-10.

Austin Pletsch led the PC/Hall co-op with a third-place finish at 182. Also for PC/Hall, Mike Milasuski took fifth at 170 and Nathan Tonozzi finished sixth at 220.

PC/Hall (41) placed 12th of 16 teams with St. Bede (36) placing 14th.

Princeton 47, Mendota 33: Caleb Dickens scored a pinfall at 5:28 at 152 pounds and Drew Pranka won by fall at 5:43 at 160 pounds on the mats for the Tigers Monday at Prouty Gymnasium. PHS won six other matches, all by forfeit with the Trojans picking up two forfeit wins.
