Cody Burroughs of the State Farm Insurance office in Spring Valley presents a set of Stat-X Fire suppression canisters to representatives of the Spring Valley Fire Department Tuesday. SVFD secretary Patrick Watson said these canister “grenades” are designed to suppress fire in a single room allowing firefighters to gain access for search and rescue and allows other responding units to establish a water supply to assist the search and ventilation crews.
