Neponset students hold canned food drive
The Neponset Grade School cheerleaders initiated a canned food drive during the week of Nov. 26 for the local Western Bureau County Food Pantry, which serves 89 families monthly in Sheffield, Neponset, Mineral, Buda and New Bedford. Tom Weeks, a local Neponset resident and co-director of the food pantry, was very appreciative to receive the 230 canned goods donated by the Neponset Grade School students. Mary Bates‘ pre-school class donated the most with a total of 50 canned goods.
