Storm throttle Morrison

Bureau Valley brew up quite a Storm at the Storm Cellar Friday, blowing away the Morrison Mustangs 62-40 in TRAC action.

The Storm were led by sophomores Tommy Johnston (21) and Parker Neuhalfen (16), who combined for 37 points. Other top contributors for the Storm were seniors Frank Gebeck (11) and Brian Lange (9).

Morrison won the soph prelim 44-31.

At Byron: The Byron Tigers topped the visiting Princeton Tigers 38-24 Friday. Zach Stroud and Cole Evenson each had seven points for PHS.

Around the area: In other area Friday boys' games, Henry beat Marquette 44-38, Rockford Lutheran topped Rock Falls 86-71, Woodland beat Hall 67-64, Winnebago beat Mendota 73-51, Amboy downed Fulton 51-42, Paw Paw beat LaMoille/Ohio 72-43 and Sterling topped Dixon 39-28.

On the girls side, L-P beat Streator 64-42.
