A rough first half resulted in a 51-24 loss for the Princeton Tigresses Saturday afternoon to the Rochelle Lady Hubs.

After trading baskets early, the Lady Hubs outscored the Tigresses 12-2 to close out the first quarter. The second quarter didn’t prove much better for the Tigresses, giving up a 15-0 run to start the quarter, led by junior guard Marin Meiners, who scored eight of the 15 points.

The only basket that came in the second quarter for PHS came from senior forward Makenzey Wilson, who knocked down two free throws late in the quarter. In the first half, the Lady Hubs grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and forced the Tigresses into committing 18 turnovers.
