Thelma Fisher

NEW BEDFORD — Thelma E. Fisher, 94, of New Bedford died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Walnut Manor in Walnut.

Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Hooppole to Arnold and Margaret Howell, she married Louis W. Fisher May 18, 1936, in Prophetstown. He died Nov. 2, 1979.

She was a 1936 graduate of Hooppole High School. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters, Maxine (Larry) Sugars of New Bedford and Charlotte (Larry) Neahring of Walnut; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Private graveside services will be held in the Greenville-Fairfeild Union Cemetery, rural New Bedford. A private family visitation will be at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Manlius.

Memorials may be directed to Walnut Manor activities.
