Caucus-goers choose candidates
Local ballots are beginning to take shape for the April 9, 2013, consolidated election.
Last week many area residents gathered in caucus groups across the county to choose their April general election nominees for a variety of local offices. Caucuses are like primary elections with the results determining who will represent that political party on the April ballot for township offices, which include supervisor, clerk, road commissioner, four trustees, and in some cases, an assessor.
The Republican caucus in Princeton Township was attended by more than 50 township residents. The voters unanimously approved the proposed slate of nominees.
