A trip down Memory Lane

This photo of the 1936 Holy Name softball team was submitted by Father Patrick Fixen from Holy Trinity in Cherry. Team members include (front row, from left) “Teo” Rocco and Albert “Pap” DeAngelo; (second row) Frank Reinsch, Dave Mazzetti, “T-Dee” Giacomelli, “Junior” Donna, Mondo Ugolini, Albert Pacione and Jim Giacomelli; and (back row) manager Emmett Neill, Mike Jalley, Chuck Bartoli, Matt Koster, Father Fred Winchell, Del Soldati, John Jalley and “Tuffy” Ferrini. Fixen said, “A lot of everyone’s grandpa’s in there.” It is also a good shot of the famous Cherry mine slag piles in the background.
