Mark Gualandri

SPRING VALLEY — Mark T. Gualandri, 30, of 819 Bern St., Spring Valley, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 3, 1982, in Streator to Bruce and Nancy (Koster) Gualandri.

Through organ donation, Mark has graciously and heroically given the gift of life to five individuals.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Spring Valley.

Surviving are his parents, Bruce and Nancy Gualandri of Spring Valley; one sister, Becky Gualandri of Chicago; one brother, Steven Gualandri at home; his paternal grandmother, Beverly Gualandri of Dalzell; 10 aunts; eight aunts; and 56 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clyde Gualandri; his maternal grandparents, Matthew and Lucille Koster; and one cousin, Luke Gualandri.

Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
