WYANET — Colleen (Martin) Marquis of Wyanet, formerly of Buda, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Colleen was born to Ray and Norene (Hall) Martin on March 28, 1929, in Kewanee. She graduated from Buda High School in 1947. As an eight-grader she met Darrell Marquis, whom she married in 1949. He survives.

Colleen was a long-time member of the Bunker Hill Church in Buda, where she served as a board member and Sunday school teacher. She was a talented seamstress and co-founded Fashion Fabrics in 1967, with her sister-in-law, Barb Marquis, in Princeton.
