Merlin Foster

OHIO, Ill. — Merlin H. Foster, 69, of Ohio, Ill., passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Park Ridge.

Born Jan. 19, 1943, to William E. and Marian E. (House) Foster, he married Kathryn Honeman Muldoon April 25, 1987. She survives.

He was a truck driver for 32 years, driving for Zellmers, Purdy Brothers, Harvey Clark and D.O.T. Rail, among others. For the last 10 years, he was self employed at Beaver Creek Lawn Service.

He was a Good Sam member in the Bureau Valley Sams chapter.

Also surviving are eight children, Vanessa (Randy) Lewis, Amy Stroud, Debbie Muldoon, Cindy (Greg) Perry, Jennie (Bob) Ebervein, Tracey Muldoon, John (Deidre) Muldoon and Kevin (Lisa) Muldoon; 22 grandchildren, Randy Lewis Jr., Amanda (Matt) Everett, Nate Lewis, Danielle (Tom) Rhodes, Tina (Christian) Gonzalez, Sean O'Toole, Sara Perry, Ryna Perry, Kyle Perry, Mia Reyes, Justin Frantzen, Adam Frantzen, Alyssa Stroud, Emily Szoke, Brook Muldoon, Tyler Perry, Zachary Muldoon, Caitlin Evervein, Megan Muldoon, Michael Szoke, Brandi Muldoon and Ethan Precesan; seven great-grandchildren, Alex Everett, Liam Gonzalez, Analisha Everette, Keegan Husband, Jeremy Lewis, Lila Gonzalez and Derrick Lewis; and four siblings, Glenn (Barb) Foster, Mary (Roger) Kramer, Jean (Tom) Holmberg and Bonnie (Bill) Catton.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bache Memorial Chapel, Van Orin.
