Colmone Classic Update

SPRING VALLEY - The Mendota Trojans ended Fieldcrest's reign in the Colmone Classic, upending the three-time defending champion Knights 67-62 in overtime Saturday night at Red Devil Gymnasium.

Mendota's Trae Blumhorst was named the tournament's MVP.

In other finals action Saturday, St. Bede beat Plano 59-47 for third place, Bureau Valley edge host Hall 68-66 on Frank Gebeck's last-second basket for fifth place and Sherrard beat Stark County 49-43 for seventh place
