Bradford students hold geography bee finals

BRADFORD — Bradford School District held geography bee finals Dec. 11. The top two students from each grade level in the preliminary rounds in grades four through eight moved to the final round. Student finalists include Elexie Barks, McKenzie Stahl, Madison McDermott, Elijah Stumpf, Jacob Dries, Abby Stottler, Delaney Kazubowski, Wyatt Schupp, Bailey Longman and Dalton Hancher. Dalton Hancher was in third place. Wyatt Schupp and Madison McDermott were the top two students at the end of the final round and then competed in the championship round. Wyatt Schupp is the geography bee champion and Madison McDermott is runner up after completing 17 tiebreaker questions. Schupp will take a test to determine if he will qualify for the state geography bee competition.
