Food court

MANLIUS — The Bureau Valley High School freshmen class will sponsor a food court beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the school commons during the Bureau Valley vs. Amboy boys’ basketball game. Proceeds from the event will go toward the costs incurred when the Class of 2016 sponsors its prom. Tickets will be available at the door.

Meeting set

PRINCETON — The Hampshire Colony Congregational Church Circle ladies will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lincoln Princeton Plaza restaurant for their monthly luncheon business meeting. Anyone not signed up for this meeting should call hostess Ida Arlt at 815-915-8039 or Elaine Bowers at 815-872-5981 to confirm attendance.

Little Pom clinic

PRINCETON — The Princeton High School Pom Pon squad will have a Little Poms clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 18 in Prouty Gym at Princeton High School. This clinic is for girls ages 4-12 years and is $35 per person ($30 if you have more than one child participating). Participants will receive a T-shirt, a pair of poms and perform a dance routine that night at the PHS boys’ basketball game. The deadline for registration is Friday. Auxiliary workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 will hold a veterans workshop at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the post home. Members should note the time change and remember donations if it’s their turn. For needed items, call chairperson Clara Pease at 815-872-0430.

Monthly meeting

PERU — Illinois Valley PADS, a local homeless shelter, will have its monthly Board of Directors meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lily PADS Boutique at 4471 Progress Blvd. in Peru.
