SPRING VALLEY — The Illinois Student Assistance Commission recently announced eight Hall High School students as 2012-13 Illinois State Scholars.

They include: Rebekah Dagraedt, the daughter of Mark and Julie Dagraedt of Cherry; Katie Hoffert, the daughter of Mark and Lisa Hoffert of Hollowayville; Drew Lechner, the son of David Lechner of Spring Valley and Sheri Lechner of Ladd; Robbie Lentz, the son of Rob and Jackie Lentz of Dalzell; Alex Olivares, the son of Larry and Stacy Olivares of Ladd; Jacquelyn Petzel, the daughter of Neil and Penny Petzel of Ladd; Landon Piccatto, the son of John and Nancy Piccatto of Ottville; and Samuel Rizzo, the son of Hildi Grivetti of Spring Valley and Blake Rizzo of Spring Valley.

Although program participation by high schools is voluntary, nearly all participate and Illinois’ top students elect to have test scores and high school class ranks sent to ISAC for consideration in this popular program.
