• Heard the district scored a 96 out of 100 on its recent health department inspection during its Thanksgiving feast. Sweger said the inspector was extremely impressed that everything was being done in the correct manner, and she thanked the mothers who volunteer and did a wonderful job!.

• Heard from Wilt about the Veterans Day assembly Nov. 12. The entire school and several community members attended. Speakers were Vietnam veterans Larry Smith from Ohio and Verne Sondgeroth from Princeton (grandfather of Wyatt and Dustin Fultz).

• Heard from Wilt the Thanksgiving Feast on Nov. 20 went well. This year the whole school was included. Wilt thanked parents and staff for volunteering their time.

• Heard there are seven boys out for high school basketball — four freshmen, one sophomore, one junior and one senior. There are also five girls participating in cheerleading. There are one senior and one sophomore girl out for high school basketball.

• Heard the Student Council held a blood drive on Nov. 5, and sponsor Dee Hughes was pleased with the turnout.

• Heard about the state's new Continuous School Improvement Plan tool called Rising Star.

• Heard Missy Dunn, Caitlin Quarton, Vanessa Martinez, Josh Weber, David Beattie and Jessica Byrd represented the school at the Youth Leadership Summit at Joliet Junior College.

• Employed Clarence (Morrie) Vincent retroactively as a part-time bus driver, and Roberta Davis as a part-time bus driver pending certification.
