PRINCETON — The final program for the Princeton Public Library’s Journey Stories exhibit will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

“Dressing the Table” is an overview of how the way we set and decorate our tables for the holidays has changed over the course of time. Flowers by Julia and Hoffman’s Patterns of the Past will provide examples of dinner settings and centerpieces from the late Victorian era (1890s), the Mid-Century Modern movement (1950s) and a contemporary look for today, and the discussion will include table etiquette, important manufacturers and designers, how materials were obtained and purchased, as well as ideas to adapt these styles in your own home.
