PIT is set for Jan. 4-5 at PHS
PRINCETON — Princeton High School will host its 50th annual Lyle King Invitational Wrestling Tournament Jan. 4-5 in Prouty Gymnasium.
There will be 31 schools from throughout the state participating in the tournament this year.
The roll call includes: Rock Island Alleman, Byron, Clinton, Coal City, Dakota, Dixon, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, Harvard, IVC, Leroy, Litchfield, Manteno, Mercer County, Monmouth-Roseville, Monticello, Morrison, Olympia, Orion, Ottawa, Palos Heights Shepard, Petersburg PORTA, Pittsfield, Plano, Princeton, Reed Custer, Riverdale, Rock Falls, Rockridge, Sterling Newman Central, Vandalia and Wilmington.
Matches begin at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 4. On Jan 5, matches begin at 9 a.m., with the tournament finals matches beginning at 5 p.m.
Tournament passes will be sold on Friday evening at the following prices:
Adult: $10.
Student (grade 1-12/ Senior citizen (55+): $7.
Admission per session:
Adult: $4
Student (grade 1-12)/ Senior citizen (55+): $3
Children ages kindergarten and under will be admitted free.
