BV FFA competes in parliamentary procedure contest

Members of the Bureau Valley FFA Chapter recently participated in the 2012 Section 3 FFA Parliamentary Procedure contest at Orion High School. Schools competing included Geneseo, Stark County, Bureau Valley and Orion. Participating in the contest from BV were chapter members Charles Lotspeich (from left), Kristyn Ehnle, Kelly Sierens, Samantha Haney, Rachel Brummel and Annika Carter. The students showed their knowledge of parliamentary procedure by holding a mock meeting and giving quality discussion on motions. Participants were given two minutes preparation time and asked to demonstrate six parliamentary procedure abilities. They then took a written test on their knowledge of parliamentary procedure. Bureau Valley placed third in the varsity competition with 289 points. Brummel was third place chairman with 109 points, and Ehnle was third place secretary with 59 points.
